Not the longest of all long reach hedge trimmers, but with a 24 inch blade and only 6 pounds (which is less than a gallon of milk), you can definitely reach out with this trimmer. And it's easier to control than some of the really long models.

It absolutely gobbles up 1/4 inch branches, and 1/2 inch ones don't take much longer. Don't get the wrong idea; it's not a chain saw. But it does a very good job at trimming shrubs and vines and small limbs.

Some trimmers vibrate a lot, which can get downright uncomfortable after a while. If you've used shorter models before, you'll really appreciate the longer reach of this hedge trimmer. Not only can you get to places that would have been hard with a shorter model, but each pass of the blade results in more trimming, and that means less work for you in the long run.

The HH2450 doesn't get hot like some trimmers either. It has an internal fan that keeps air running over the motor and let's it stay cool even after a couple hours in the heat. The fan does blow a bit of hot air on you while you operate it, but not so much as to make you really uncomfortable.
